Hi I had no pressure sensitivity on my ET-0405-U until I followed this advice:"I have an ancient Intuos GD-0608-U and I got it to work with El Capitan by installing this driver from Wacom: _6.2.0w4.dmg As the previous user stated the preferences don't work but the pen/stylus does work with default settings..."from -it-possible-to-use-old-wacom-tablet-on-10-11 Other drivers (5.2.6-5 5.3.6-6 ) gave me a single pressure only as did the newer Bamboo drivers

You need to install WacomTablet_605-7 -- you can get that from the Wacom website, that is the highest-version wacom driver that supports serial port tablets. I got mine to work today. Here are the steps I've taken:
In only one instance have I managed to get the wacom driver installed without the yellow warning triangle on the Prolific adapter in device manager. This was using Hamm's method, but when I reinstalled the driver with vista rather than Windows 2000 settings the yellow warning triangle appeared again and the wacom driver was not recognised
device shows the usb connector as com3 like yours and i did as u said i pluggd in my power cable.... was i supose to reset before doing this cuz i didnt.... the installed that driver from wacom on system windows 7 , as i run on home premium, 6.10.6 installed , i reset comp.... light comes on when pen touches tablet but no curser moving plz tell me where im going wrong!!!! i miss my tablet to get to me quicker gotto my facebook !/robert.johnson.96742277 as i dont check my mail much but will everyday untill i get it working again
Hamms thanks so much for bothering to post your solution. The key to the success seemed to be in installing the correct drivers "6.10.6" thanks to Scherer, and then the DOUBLE installation of them using the compatibility as windows 2000 first, then reinstalling the same ones using Vista afterwards.
Just installed the cons530-3_int.exe to drive a cte 640 on a fresh windows 10 machine. Works perfectly, But, if you tried to install any other versions from wacom site previously i had to take these steps first. unistall all wacom drivers, unplug Tablet, restart machine, install the cons530-3_int.exe driver, Then plug in my CTE 640
Having a working but outdated wacom is nice, and after that hassle with the driver, let me say 1000 thank you for bringing up this post, that helps reanimating the old 2007 wacoms and saves our money ? 2ff7e9595c
